Settings is one area with three groups of sections: the store's, the account's and your own. You are offered only the sections your role can use: the owner changes every store and account section; their accountant reads every store section and moves the Lock date; the people who run a store read the facts their records are entered against; a client, an investor or a processor sees their own sections alone. A section you can read but not change says View only.

Each card saves on its own: Save and Discard appear at its foot once something differs, and leaving with unsaved changes asks first. On a phone, Settings opens on the list of sections, each its own screen.
The store's
General
The store's name, icon and colour, its currency and its time zone. Changing the currency relabels the figures and converts nothing. The time zone decides what "today" is for every new record, wherever the person adding it is.
The sales channel's section
Named after the store's marketplace (eBay UK, say): its sales channel and business country, set when the store was created, and what decides its fees: the seller type, the default category, the seller level and Premium Service listings. Changes apply to orders and listings added from then on. On a channel StoreDeck has no rate card for, it says fees are typed from your invoices.
Where StoreDeck connects to the channel (eBay today), the section also holds the connection, the owner's, on the plans that include syncing (Professional and above); a store moved to a plan without it keeps every record it brought in, and its sync waits, carrying on by itself once the plan includes syncing again. Choose Sync from, where the first sync starts: the store's earliest record, the start of its financial year, or two years ago, as far back as eBay gives orders. Connect takes you to eBay's own page to sign in and agree there; StoreDeck never sees your eBay password. StoreDeck then reads your eBay records and writes nothing until you have seen what would come in: the new orders, payouts and charges, the SKUs it matched to yours and those that are new, each with its cost for you to enter, and the records added manually that are eBay's (orders carrying the numbers of orders eBay is sending, payouts and charges of eBay's amount dated within a week of eBay's), which you link to eBay's records or keep as they are, eBay's copies then left out. It also names any month whose orders would pass the plan's monthly allowance, where the sync would pause. Start syncing writes them. From then on orders with their fees, refunds and returns, payouts, and eBay's charges and credits sync every 15 minutes and whenever eBay tells StoreDeck of a change; your listings sync every hour for what changed and once a day in full, a listing eBay ended archived (a SKU still holding units stays on sale) and one listed again brought back; Sync now asks for a sync straight away, and Last synced lists the latest. Records dated on or before the Lock date stay out. If eBay stops taking StoreDeck's access, Reconnect signs in again and the sync carries on from where it stopped; where the plan's limits pause it, Resume syncing takes it up once there is room. Disconnect stops syncing and keeps every record it brought in.
For a store that keeps its stock, the connection adds Stock on eBay. Orders sold before you connected don't change your stock, except those still to be dispatched. Opening balances from eBay, offered once, starts tracking stock for the products you tick at the quantity eBay lists. Sync stock to eBay, off until you switch it on, sets each listing's quantity on eBay to what you have available here after every sync, less the Buffer and any units on orders awaiting payment, so a sale elsewhere can't oversell it on eBay. Only products whose stock you track are sent, and a quantity changed on eBay is set back. It needs eBay's out-of-stock option, in Selling Preferences in My eBay, so a listing at 0 stays on eBay rather than ending. Quantities sent lists the latest, with anything eBay refused.
Your eBay account's safety. What puts an eBay account at risk is signing in at eBay from new places and devices, or several accounts in one browser, and StoreDeck asks for none of it. The one sign-in at eBay is the consent that connects the store: the eBay account's holder makes it, in their own browser, where they usually use eBay, and StoreDeck never asks anyone for an eBay password. After that nobody signs in at eBay to do the work: your team works in StoreDeck, whose calls to eBay carry StoreDeck's own identity and the access you granted, listed in My eBay under Account Settings, Sign in and Security, Third-party app access. One store connects one eBay account, so a seller with two eBay accounts has two stores. StoreDeck writes to eBay only when someone does something that needs it, such as marking an order dispatched, and otherwise only reads. You can take StoreDeck's access away at any time on that page: the store then asks to be connected again, and StoreDeck makes no more calls for it until it is. StoreDeck cannot protect an account from its own sign-ins, a breach of eBay's policies or its seller performance.
Business and tax
The business's identity and its VAT: see Business and tax.
Inventory
Keep stock in this store, and the default reorder point each new SKU starts with. It stays on while any listing keeps its stock or a count is open.
Listing grades
The minimum profit per unit and return on cost a listing needs to grade Strong or Workable; anything under Workable is Too thin. Restore defaults sets £5 and 100% for Strong, £3 and 35% for Workable, in the store's money. The owner's.
Lock date
Closing a period so nothing in it changes: see the Lock date.
Buyer details
How many orders hold a buyer's name, contact or address and how many buyers' messages the store keeps, and a way to erase them from before a day, once you no longer need them: the orders lose the buyer's details and the messages are deleted, and a sync never brings back what was erased. The section says how long your country asks you to keep your records. Erasing cannot be undone; the money on the orders stays. The owner's.
Activity
Every addition, change, deletion and restore on the store, its files included, newest first: who did it, when and what changed ("Sale each £24.99 to £22.99", a value first given "set to", one taken away "cleared"). Search it, or choose who, the kind of record, the action and the dates: picking a person and Last month lists everything they changed that month, deleted records included. A record still there opens from its row. Export activity downloads what the list shows as a CSV file, where your plan includes exports. At All stores, Activity lists every store's changes together, each row naming its store. The owner's and their accountant's.
Files
Every receipt, invoice and product photo on the store's records, and the store's icon: what each is attached to (it opens the record), who uploaded it, when and its size. Search by the file or its record, choose the type, the kind of record, Not linked (a file whose record was deleted), who uploaded it and the dates, and sort by date or size. Open a file for its preview, Download and Delete; tick several to download them in one zip file or delete them together. A file is deleted by whoever can change the record it is on, and waits in Recently deleted for 30 days before it goes for good. Deleting a record asks whether its files go with it (ticked unless you untick it); kept, they stay here as Not linked. A file that is Not linked can be attached to another order, expense or adjustment from its sheet; a store's icon is changed in General. The owner and their accountant see the storage the files use, and at All stores every store's files, each naming its store, with the storage each uses. Everyone who works on the store sees the files on the records they can read.
Recently deleted
What was deleted on the store in the last 30 days, with who deleted it and when, each with Restore: an order comes back with its stock and its figures, a product with all its variants, a payout linked again to the payments that were on it, a delivery with its stock, and a drawing or a payment with its part on every store. A record's files deleted with it come back with it, and a file deleted on its own is listed on its own. After 30 days a file is removed for good, unless its record is in a period the Lock date closes. A payment that also paid someone back for goods comes back with them, and goods marked unpaid come back marked paid, wherever nothing has paid for them since; a line taken off a stock count comes back while the count is in progress. What a connected sales channel took away (an order never paid that the channel cancelled, a payout it reversed, a charge that failed) names the channel as who deleted it and has no Restore: the sync brings it back if the channel says it stands again. The owner's.
Passkeys
A passkey signs you in with your face, fingerprint or screen lock, on your phone or your laptop. Choose Create a passkey on Settings, Security, within 15 minutes of signing in; after that, sign out and sign in again first. Your device keeps your face or fingerprint: StoreDeck never receives it. On the sign-in screen, pick your passkey under the email field or choose Sign in with a passkey. A laptop with no fingerprint reader can use your phone: your browser shows a code to scan. It opens your stores without a two-step code; the admin console and a change to these settings still ask for the code. Your password or Google stays a way in, and StoreDeck emails you whenever a passkey is added or removed. Removing one here stops it signing you in.
Store password
An extra password asked once in each browser session before the store opens, for everyone allowed in. It is a convenience lock on a shared computer, not your account's security. The owner's.
Delete store
What the store holds, Download its books and Download its files (on every plan; the files in one zip), then Delete this store, which asks for its name before it goes. A deleted store frees its place on the plan and can be restored if you ask soon. A demo store is deleted in one step.
The account's
Account details
The account's name, its reference (quote it to support) and its owner; the plan with the stores and people it uses; and how to close the account.
Stores
The account's stores, with each one's net sales, net profit and orders this month against the plan's allowance. Add store creates one, while the plan has a place.
Plan and billing
Your plan, what it uses and its bills: see Plan and billing.
At All stores, Lock dates lists every store's Lock date together.
Your own
Profile
Your name as everyone on the account sees it, the address you sign in with, and Send usage statistics. Change email asks for the new address and your password, and sends the new address a link; the address you sign in with now is told. Until the link is opened you sign in as before; once it is, you sign in with the new address, and your stores, your records and your place on the plan move with you. An address someone else on StoreDeck already uses, to sign in or on a record or an invitation, cannot be taken.
Payment methods
The cards and bank accounts you pay for goods with, kept as their bank or scheme and last four digits: each listed once however many of the account's stores keep it, with those stores and when an order last named it. Adding one asks which stores it is kept on. Offered to whoever pays for goods: the account's owner, for the stores' own money, in a store and at All stores, and anyone whose cards fund a store's orders, in that store.
Notifications
Which of the notices the bell shows you are also emailed to you: one switch for each kind your roles are told about, mentions and replies in the Feed, stock running out, a payment to you and so on. Each is on until you turn it off. The bell shows every notice, emailed or not. An email goes a few minutes after its notice, and not at all once you have read the notice in StoreDeck; several at once arrive as one email listing each. Every notice's email ends with a link to these switches. One email is always sent and has no switch: a sign-in to your account from a browser it has not used before, in the app or not, saying when and, where it is known, roughly where, so a sign-in you did not make is seen. The first browser you ever sign in from is not told.
Security
Your password: a link to set a new one is emailed to the address you sign in with. Sign out of other devices signs out every other browser and device signed in as you, keeping this one.
Two-step verification asks for a code from an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password and the like) each time you sign in, as well as your password, so a stolen password alone cannot open your account. Set it up from Security: scan the code with the app, or type its setup key, then enter the code the app shows. Add a second app on another device while you are there: it is your way back in if you lose the first. An account's owner can require it for everyone on the account; anyone without an app then sets one up the next time they sign in, and nothing of the account's opens until they do. StoreDeck's own admins always use it.
If you lose every authenticator app, contact support from the address you sign in with. Once support has checked it is you, it removes your apps, and you set one up again when you next sign in.
Google: where the sign-in screen offers Continue with Google, it signs you in with the Google account that uses the address you sign in with, and asks for your two-step code as your password does. A Gmail or Google Workspace address works at once, because Google holds that inbox. Any other address is connected from Security first, signed in with your password (and your two-step code, if you use it): Google checked such an address only when the Google account was made. Disconnect it from the same row; your email and password still sign you in. Create account offers Continue with Google too, making your account at once for a Gmail or Google Workspace address; any other is made with the form. If you signed up with Google, it stays connected, as it is how you sign in, and you have no password until you choose one with the Password row's link.
