Terms as an eBay UK store names them. A store on another sales channel or in another country names its own channel and tax, and a store on eBay US reads US English, given beside a term where it differs.
A
- Accountant
- The owner's accountant: reads every page and figure the owner reads on the stores they are given, and changes nothing but the Lock date. Holds no place on the plan.
- Accounting year end
- The last day of the business's financial year. Year end and the financial year dates follow it.
- Active
- Someone on the account whose access, and any profit share, is running.
- Listings on sale: neither drafts nor archived.
- Allocated
- Every profit share on this store added up.
- Answered
- A conversation whose latest message is the store's, or one marked as answered.
- Applied
- A completed count whose differences have been posted to stock, each with its reason.
- Archived
- Listings taken off sale and kept: out of the list and the order form, holding no place on the plan, and restored in one click.
- Available
- Units you can still sell.
- Available on eBay
- The units a product's listing on its sales channel offers now, as the channel says. It is kept apart from the units on your shelf and from a stock count, and neither moves it.
- Average order value
- Gross sales divided by the orders in the period: what buyers spend per order, before refunds.
- Average ROI
- The mean of each listing's profit per unit over its unit cost.
- Awaiting dispatch US: Awaiting shipment
- Sold and not dispatched yet: its units are committed, still on your shelf.
- Awaiting processor
- A processor's order they have not placed with the supplier yet: neither marked placed nor given its supplier order number.
- Awaiting repayment
- Cost of goods sold that a funder paid for, on their card or in a delivery they funded, and you have not repaid, less restocked units. Investment plus awaiting repayment equals cost of goods sold.
- Awaiting tracking
- A processor's order placed with the supplier and waiting for its tracking number.
B
- Balance
- Net proceeds the sales channel has not paid out yet, including funds it shows as processing or on hold, so it can be more than the available funds it shows.
- Balance adjustments
- Credits and charges on the sales channel's balance that are not profit, such as an opening balance, a top-up or a loan repayment.
- Buffer
- Units held back from a sales channel: each listing there shows this many fewer than you have available.
- Business country
- Where the business is based. It decides the tax the books keep, its schemes and the numbers the business is known by.
C
- Cancelled US: Canceled
- Called off before it was sent: no sale, no fees and no stock taken.
- Capital
- What they handed over up front, as they declared it; not the cost of the goods their cards paid for.

- Co-owner
- An owner who is not the account's first owner, with a profit share of their own.
- Committed
- Units sold and still on the shelf, waiting to go.
- Completed
- A count whose figures and stock value are fixed. Applying its differences to stock is a step of its own.
- Correction
- A count or a figure put right, moving units and no money.
- Cost not entered
- A product a sales channel brought in, whose cost is still to be entered: its profit is not worked out until it is, and its orders take the cost then.
- Cost of goods sold
- What the goods behind these orders cost, less units restocked.
- Currency
- The money this store's books are kept in. Every figure on the store is in it.
D
- Damaged

- Days of supply
- How many days your available stock lasts at the last 30 days' rate of sales. A dash means nothing sold in 30 days.

- Default reorder point
- The reorder point each new SKU starts with.

- Money the account's first owner has recorded taking out of the business for themselves.
E
- Earned
- What their share has earned, worked out from the orders.
- Excluded
- A count's line left out of it: its figures and the SKU's records stand as they are.
- Exempt
- Never charged, shown a billing banner or made read-only, by a StoreDeck admin's decision. A Stripe subscription keeps charging until it is cancelled there.
- Expected
- What the books say a figure should be: on a count, the units your records put on the shelf, available and committed together, as a line is counted; on a month's check, the figure the sales channel's statement should show.
- Expenses

- Expenses recorded
- How many expenses are recorded in the dates.
