Profit and loss is the statement on the Dashboard, set out month by month over the dates you choose, so you can see how each month was made. Every month is worked out as the Dashboard works out its own dates, so a month's net profit here is the Dashboard's for that month. Each reader reads it down to their own line. Export gives it as a workbook, on a plan with exports.

The views
- By month
- A column a month and their Total, from net sales down to net profit and each share of it, expenses by category. Compare with adds the previous period, or the same dates a year earlier.
- By product
- The gross profit each product made in the dates, worked out order by order as the books work it out, so the products add up to the period's gross profit. A split order's variants share it by what each line sold for.
- Year end
- For whoever reads the books whole (the owner, a co-owner and their accountant), once the store has ended a financial year. See below.
At All stores, Profit and loss has a column a store and their total, a statement for each currency the stores keep.
Year end
Choose the year from Financial year. Year end sets out what your accountant needs for it, as your books stood at the end of its last day:
- The balances: the stock value (from the completed count nearest before the year end, or from your records), the stock not sold in 90 days, the sales channel's balance, what was owed to funders, each profit share's balance and investor capital.
- The checklist: a stock count in the year's last two weeks, every month that traded reconciled, and the Lock date up to the year end (Lock this period sets it).
- The year: its statement by month, each person's share and each funder's goods over it, and the first owner's drawings.
Export gives the whole year end as one workbook.
Common questions
Why do the months not add up to the Total's shares?
The Total strikes each share over the whole dates, as the Dashboard does, and a share can change rate within them. Down to net profit, the months always add up to the Total.
