What's new

What changed in StoreDeck, release by release, newest first. The same notes are in the app, under Help.

Sign out of one device

  • Sign out now signs out only the device you're on, so your phone stays signed in when you sign out on your laptop. Settings, Security signs out the others.

Connect your eBay store

  • An eBay UK store connects on Professional and above: its orders, fees, payouts and listings come in by themselves, and you see what would come in before anything is written.
  • Mark an order dispatched here and eBay is told, its tracking with it.
  • Refund or cancel an eBay order from its page, each showing who sent it.
  • Publish a listing to eBay, change its price, title, description, photos, condition or item specifics, or end it from StoreDeck, with several photos for a product and for each variant.
  • Your buyers' messages are under Orders, to read and answer from here, each reply showing who sent it.
  • Switch on stock written back, and eBay lists what your shelf holds, less a buffer you set.
  • New orders, returns, payment disputes, payouts and buyers' messages tell the right people, in the bell and by email.

Sign in with your face or fingerprint

  • Create a passkey on Settings, Security, and sign in with your face, fingerprint or screen lock, on your phone and your laptop. Your password stays a way in.

Every new sign-in emailed

  • A sign-in with your password from outside the app now emails you too, as a sign-in from a new browser in the app does.

Clearer money, quicker forms

  • Back returns to where you were on a list, and a new page opens at its top.
  • Adding an order finds a product typed as a plural, and Receive stock asks first what arrived.
  • Receive stock adds a product's other variants in one click, and correcting or deleting a delivery leaves each unit cost where it belongs, to the penny.
  • Recording a return or a refund shows its effect on the order's profit while you answer.
  • Every date choice names the dates it covers, and a page across several stores says which stores its figures cover.
  • Record a payment lists payments recorded as Pending, to mark them paid in the same step, with Undo after.
  • A virtual assistant's Earnings is a tab on a phone, and their Dashboard names the dates their share covers beside what they are owed.
  • Inviting someone says why a store is ticked, and a share that does not fit names who holds the rest.
  • A new store's checklist offers its opening balance, so the balance can agree with your sales channel's from the start.

Sign up with Google

  • Create account offers Continue with Google: a Gmail or Google Workspace address gets its account at once, on the Starter plan, with no form to fill in. Any other address signs up with the form, then connects Google in Settings, Security.

Sign in with Google

  • Continue with Google signs you in with the Google account that uses the address you sign in with: at once for a Gmail or Google Workspace address, and for any other once you connect it in Settings, Security. Your two-step code is still asked for.

A cleaner look, and a Security page

  • Every page lines up on one edge, and figures, cards and a record's details share one look wherever they appear.
  • In the Feed, each conversation is set apart and its replies hang from it, so a thread is easy to follow.
  • Counting stock: a barcode counts once each time it comes into view, a scanner gun counts as the camera does, and a line's details always show the figure just saved.
  • In Safari, the Dashboard's dates and its statement's lines open as they should.
  • With a screen reader, a search result or a notice opens on its page's title, and each choice is read once.
  • A new Security page sets out how your books are protected: who can see what, encryption, card details, where your data is kept and its daily copies.

A new home page, and help for each page

  • The home page is new: it walks through a sample business's books, and works out a sale's fees and profit as you change its price and cost.
  • On a computer, signing in and creating an account show the sample business's stores beside the form.
  • Help opens on a short answer about the page you are on, with the terms it uses and a search across the help centre and the glossary.
  • Activity says in words what was done to each record and opens it, and Files names the record each file is attached to.
  • Payment methods, in Settings, lists each of your cards and bank accounts once, naming the stores that keep it.

Settings, help and a new website

  • Settings is one place, with your store's, your account's and your own sections, each showing only what you can change.
  • Turn on two-step verification, change the email you sign in with and choose which emails you get, all in your own settings; a sign-in on a new device emails you.
  • Recently deleted brings back what was deleted in the last 30 days, Activity shows every change made on a store, and Files holds every file and photo.
  • The question mark at the top of every page opens help for what is on screen, the glossary, What's new and a way to contact us.
  • An invitation says which account it is for, who sent it and what the person will see, and lasts 7 days.
  • The website is new: Features, Pricing, a fee calculator anyone can try, a demo with sample books, and a help centre.

People, and paying them

  • People lists everyone on the account in one row each, with what they earned, were paid and are owed; each person has a page with their terms, their payments and every action on them.
  • Pay people pays everyone owed in one go, each payment split across the stores it is owed on, and paying a funder back for goods is a repayment of its own.
  • Your accountant can be given the books to read, and the Lock date to move, on the stores you choose.
  • Everyone paid out of the business reads their own Earnings, as a statement they can print or download.

Finances

  • Payouts, expenses and adjustments each have a page of their own; an expense can repeat every month, quarter or year, or be shared across stores.
  • Reconciliation checks each month's net proceeds and balance against your statement, and a reconciled month can be locked.
  • Profit and loss shows the Dashboard's statement month by month, and a VAT-registered store has its VAT summary.

Listings and stock

  • Listings is a grid of products, each with its price, unit cost, profit per unit and stock.
  • Every SKU keeps a stock history; Receive stock books a delivery in, and Inventory and Stock counts show what is on the shelf.
  • The fee calculator opens from the top of every page.

A new look, the Dashboard and Orders

  • Every page sits in one frame: a sidebar on a computer, a rail on a tablet and a bar along the bottom of a phone.
  • Switch stores from the top, or open All stores to read them together; search finds an order or a listing across them.
  • The bell gathers what needs you, and the Dashboard shows your headline figures, what needs attention and your statement to net profit.
  • Orders has a view for each stage, and each order opens on a page of its own, where a return or a refund is recorded step by step.
