StoreDeck keeps one selling account's books in each store: its listings, orders, fees, expenses and payouts. Everything you do happens inside a store, or at All stores, where an account's stores are read together.
The navigation
Six places hold the work, with Settings at the foot:
- Dashboard
- How the store is doing over the dates you choose, and what needs you now.
- Orders
- Every sale, and the orders a processor places for you.
- Listings
- What you sell, its stock, the deliveries you receive and your stock counts.
- Finances
- Payouts, expenses, adjustments, reconciliation, profit and loss and, for a VAT-registered business, the VAT summary.
- People
- Everyone on the account, what they earn and what you owe them. The owner's, and their accountant's to read.
- Feed
- Where the people who run a store talk about its work.
You are offered only the pages your role can open, so a member never sees Payouts and a viewer changes nothing. A client, an investor or a processor gets one page, their Earnings. On a phone the navigation is a bar at the foot of the screen: Dashboard, Orders, Listings, Finances and More, which holds the rest.
Switching store
The store switcher at the top of the navigation lists the stores you can open, grouped by account. Choose one to move to it: you stay on the same page where the new store has it. All stores sits at the top of an account's list, and Add store at its foot for an account you own. A store with a password asks for it once in each browser session.
Search
The search in the top bar finds an order by its number (punctuation is ignored), its product, its buyer or a tracking number, and a listing by its title. At All stores it searches every store of the account and names the store of each result. Press / or Ctrl and K (Cmd and K on a Mac) to start typing from anywhere.
Notifications
The bell tells you what happened that is yours to know: a mention or a reply in the Feed, a SKU at or below its reorder point, an invitation accepted, asked for again or run out, a stock count completed with a line out, a co-owner's payment to themselves, and on the 1st the profit shares owed. An account's owners are reminded too, once each, of what waits on them as the Dashboard's Needs attention lists it: a month reconciled with its books still open, a store's financial year about to end, a store nearing its tax registration threshold, every place on the plan taken, a payment for the plan that did not go through, a store's connection to its sales channel needing its owner: to be connected again, paused, or not synced for an hour, and a payout a sales channel sent to the bank. The members and VAs who pack the orders are told of new orders a sales channel sends in, several in an hour as one line, and whoever writes the orders of a payment dispute a sales channel took money for, of a return a buyer opened on an order a sales channel sent and of a buyer's message on a sales channel.
Paid out of the business, you are told of a payment to you, a change to your terms, a repayment of the goods your cards bought and orders added for you to place; an accountant, of a store's Lock date moved earlier. Each notice opens the record it is about, and is kept for 90 days.
Help and the fee calculator
The question mark in the top bar opens Help: what the page you are on is for, with its article in the help centre a click away, the terms it uses, a search of the help centre and the glossary, What's new and a way to contact support. Beside it, the calculator works out what a sale leaves you after fees, on any page; see the fee calculator.
Keys and addresses
- Ctrl and Enter (Cmd and Enter)
- Saves the form you have open.
- Escape
- Closes a sheet, a dialog or the menu.
- / or Ctrl and K
- Goes to the search.
Every page, order, listing, payout and person has an address of its own. Bookmark it or send it to a teammate: it opens in the same place for anyone allowed to see it. If you leave a form with unsaved changes, StoreDeck asks before it lets them go, and a form you were typing in when your session ended is offered back after you sign in.
Appearance
Your avatar menu holds your profile, Appearance and Sign out, which signs out the device you are on; Settings, Security signs out the others. Appearance follows your device by default; choose Light or Dark to keep one, and Increase contrast for stronger borders, text and focus rings. It is kept on each device.
